Introduction:

katyayani Malathox 5 ( Malathion 5% DP ) is an insecticide formulation containing 5% malathion as the active ingredient. It is typically a dust formulation applied to control various insects.

Mode of Action:

Malathion works by inhibiting an insect’s nervous system. It disrupts the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which is crucial for proper nerve function. This disruption leads to uncontrolled nerve impulses, paralysis, and ultimately death of the insect.

Malathion 5% DP is effective against a broad spectrum of insects, including:
